Screen Printing

Ink pushed through a mesh screen forms a dense colour layer even on dark materials — from thick board to paper of varied textures.

(silk screen or silkscreen printing)

Printing is done mainly by hand (although there is semi-automatic and automatic equipment) by applying ink through a special form (a mesh screen). The form is produced by photopolymerization (the way photographs used to be made — with developing, exposure and washing) from films output in advance (on laser printers, both «office class» and «industrial»).

Each colour is applied as a separate process.
Features:

The ability to apply an image to very dense materials, as well as to paper and cardboard of considerable thickness and various textures;

Printing on dark materials shows up well thanks to the density of the ink used in this type of printing;

The ability to print in «Pantone» colours (that is, «custom, uniform» colours) for «fine» images on surfaces with various textures («linen», «hammer finish», etc.);

The applied image can be slightly raised thanks to special types of ink.

The cost is directly proportional to the number of colours used and the print run (not counting materials and turnaround times:).

This type of printing is used to produce: business cards, invitations, greeting cards, folders and other various paper and cardboard products.

Printing on textiles, plastics, metal, wood and glass is also available.
