Brochures
An effective advertising move is definitely capable of attracting the attention of a buyer of a product or service. Print publications cope with this task best of all. Brochures — they can hold not only text information but can also be filled with graphic images.
The approximate volume of a print publication is from 4 to 40 pages. As a rule, this non-periodical publication is colourful and contains all the useful information. For these and a number of other reasons, a brochure stays with a potential consumer for a long time.
Types of the product
Brochures have a soft binding, and the sheets are fastened in several ways: by the thermal adhesive method, with staples or with spirals. Like any other print product, publications are divided into several types:
1. Printing an advertising brochure is needed to present goods and services. The appearance is thought out down to the smallest details. It is the cover that becomes attractive to the consumer so that they review the rest of the content. Compared with the standard look of a similar print publication, an advertising brochure contains, in equal measure and in large quantity, both text content and drawings, photographs and other graphic images.
2. Information brochures are designed to acquaint a potential client with the products as well as with the company that makes them. Despite their almost complete content, the volume of this product does not exceed 48 pages. In turn, information brochures can be designed in the form of booklets. For printing an information brochure in Kyiv, dense paper of A4 or A5 format is used.
Stages of production
Printing a brochure is carried out in several stages. The first is design development. Here the main thing is to maintain the company's corporate style and also to add creativity. The publication's format, total volume, types of post-print finishing and binding options — all of this depends on the target audience and the period for which the brochure will be used.
Printing a brochure using a black-and-white or another two-colour palette is considered the simplest method. At this stage the main thing is to pay attention to the choice of paper. If the products are intended for a narrow circle of people who play a significant role in the prosperity of the company's business, then preference is given to coated or designer paper. Both types have an excellent, aesthetically pleasing appearance.
The choice of printing is determined by the total print run, the deadline and the chosen base material. With a small print run, digital printing will be the optimal option, since it allows products to be produced in the minimum time. With a large print run and no urgency in the order, preference is given to the offset method.
Collating and binding are two processes carried out in parallel. Collating includes choosing the block and the cover for it. Then the first sample is bound in order to review the approximate final look. The most convenient binding method to use is file staples. Such a brochure can easily be placed into a binder.
Post-print finishing includes folding, trimming and scoring. Cutting an almost finished product is necessary in order to give the publication a neat appearance.
