Sticker printing

Stickers are products that serve equally as an entertainment element or have an advertising or business orientation. Stickers are produced in a printing house. The whole complexity lies in strict adherence to production technologies. The printing of stickers depends directly on their type.
Types and their production
Despite the great variety in the appearance of the product, for professionals they are divided into two types:
· Products on self-adhesive film;
· Products on self-adhesive paper.
1. When printing stickers in Kyiv, the printing company takes into account the fact that the application of these products is very extensive and there is a likelihood of their use in aggressive environments, which is why production is carried out using stencil printing or screen printing.
Stickers made using screen printing are distinguished by increased resistance to temperature fluctuations and withstand a range from -40 to +50 degrees. At the same time, the products do not change their original appearance. Stencil printing uses special inks that are resistant to ultraviolet exposure and have a long service life.
2. Transparent products are made using screen printing. The image is applied to a transparent adhesive film. To create a double-sided look for the sticker, a middle white layer is applied between the image applications.
The advantage of these models is that they lend themselves to post-press finishing, which gives each product individuality. This is especially relevant if the logo of the advertised company is applied to the stickers. It is worth noting that moisture-resistant film is used.
3. Vinyl stickers are made on the basis of PVC film. Their advantage lies in the dimensionality of the image. Creating the relief is carried out in several stages. The first stage is applying the image to self-adhesive film. Then a liquid material of polyurethane resin is poured into moulds. The next stage is cutting to the required shape and size, and finally heat treatment. Stencil or digital printing is used for this type of product.
Three-dimensional stickers come in several types that differ in physical characteristics. For example, they can be hard or, on the contrary, flexible. A magnet or an adhesive layer can be used as a fastening, which in turn can be permanent or removable.
4. Warranty stickers are used in cases where it is necessary to keep a sealed cargo or information secure. The printing technology for such stickers and labels is quite simple. Large-format or stencil printing is used for this. The whole secret lies in the base material used. The thickness of the material gives the product greater density, so it is impossible to open the packaging without damaging the sticker.
5. Holographic stickers serve to protect products from counterfeits and copies. As a rule, they are made on special paper, and the image itself has an iridescent effect.
There is no great difference between the technology of printing stickers on self-adhesive film or paper. The key point in producing the product is its design. Whether the product becomes something outstanding or remains an unnoticed printed product depends on the designer's creativity.
